Further Information

Jakob Kaiser studied Computer Science in Greifswald and Cognitive Science in Osnabrueck. He graduated from the University of Sussex with a PhD about the role of emotions in decision making. Jakob is the principal investigator of a DFG-funded project.

His research interests are:
Self-Control: How can humans enact self-control over their behaviour, for example, to suppress unhealthy impulses?
Sense of Agency: How does the subjective feeling of being in control (or being powerless) influence human behaviour and social interactions?
Human-Computer Interactions: How can technology and AI systems support or undermine human self-control and sense of agency?
